I was awaken this morning at 4am from a spam text message from Zynga promoting some new game of theirs on the iTunes store. The text message reads as follows:
<Name>, did you know you can earn free chips by playing other Zynga games? Todays[sic] featured game is World Scamble! http://budurl.com/<blah blah blah> [I am not putting the url to their game]
I don’t know what application of yours I downloaded to make you think that I want to be a part of your text messaging spam, however I can tell you this: I will never be downloading any of your applications from now on. I will make it a point to tell everyone about your shady application-promotion strategy so they no one else uses your applications. I’ve gone even as far as to contact Apple about what you’ve done. What you’ve done is unacceptable.
Update: Here is a screen shot of the text message I got:

Zynga Spam
I guess the next course of action is to file a complain with the FCC.

Any idea how we can complain about this? This is so wrong and i cant find a way to complain on their website.
It’s weird that they’d send a blob where MEGALLY should be. You’d think that they’d have just typed MIKE MEGALLY in full instead of blocking out just the MEGALLY in MIKE MEGALLY.
Now my only hope is that google will cache this page before you get around to deleting that comment. Then your identity will forever belong to the intarwebs.
A – I was actually contacted by one of their employees. I’ve asked what sort of contact information I can put on my blog regarding what they said and as soon as I have an answer, I will update everything.
Jacob – You’re right. I don’t know why I edited that part out, considering I have my name up everywhere else. I guess it was habit. Either way, I’ve re-uploaded the image.
